Pascal,
It’s been three weeks since we were there in the Loire Valley, so your memory of us (Cindi and Randy) may be fading already. But we really enjoyed spending our day with you. We especially enjoyed meeting Pierre Ferrand and his wife. We wish now we had taken some pictures.
They were such nice and friendly people and were so kind to take the time out to visit with us with the bottling process so close at hand. We also appreciate you taking the extra time to guide us through the market to buy our “picnic” dinner.
It would have been a lot harder for us to figure how to find a good market. We very much enjoyed relaxing in our hotel room with a Ferrand wine and our small meal.
We followed your recommendation to drive to Amboise and see the Clos de Luce. We didn’t have time to see the big chateau. But we did walk through Leonardo Da Vinci’s maison and saw the paintings and the models of his inventions.
We are very much looking forward to going back to France. You and our other guides, and the French people in general, made us feel very welcome. We’ll try to keep that a secret, though! Good luck to you in your wine business. We tried your web site and it apparently isn’t up and running yet. We will try it periodically.
