Anita, USA
Bonjour Pascal,
I can't believe it's been two weeks since we returned from France. It's been a whirlwind since we got back with David's work, and I was involved with a fundraising event last weekend. And my mother visitied for our American "Mother's Day" holiday. We had such a fantastic time on our trip with you. We all agreed that it exceeded our expectations. All of the hotels, restaurants, and chateaux visits that you selected were excellent, and we enjoyed your company and your expertise. And your driving skills. I know we all learned a lot from you - just hope we can remember it all! Thanks for your patience with us and our butchering of your beautiful French language. We hope to get together soon to reminisce and organize our photos to send to you. I am working on the list of wines tasted during the trip - once I'm done, I'll get Candee to fill in any missing entries, as her note taking was more thorough than mine, and forward it to you. I know we'll be over 100!. We successfully boarded the train in Bordeaux, thanks to all your instruction. The only minor glitch we had was figuring out where to put our bags, and somehow we were intitially in car 11 instead of 12. But there were nice folks on the train who helped us (probably thinking "stupid Americans"). The scenery was beautiful, so the time went by quickly (we were looking for your van on the road near Tours!). It was so convenient to get off the train and walk into the Sheraton, where we had a nice late dinner. The wine we packed in our bags all arrived in good condition, although we had to pay $25 for one overweight bag. We figured that to be a reasonable shipping charge for 8 bottles. Keep us posted on your shipping license and where we can legally receive wine. I think we have a NY business address (Candee & Ron's son), and we could use the home address in NJ (my Mom).
Merci beaucoup
Sincerely,
