The unique architecture of the Chateau makes it one of the most exquisite Chateau of the Loire Valley. Chenonceau is related to important French Renaissance women and was offered by King Henry 2nd to his mistress Diane de Poitiers.

You are welcomed for a Vouvray wine tasting in Caves Duhard established in 1874. Its actual owner and wine maker Daniel Gatay is specialized in mature Vouvray wines. You can discover a large range of vintages, from 1947 to our days. Made of chenin blanc the Vouvray is a mineral wine with a high acidity level witch gives to the wine a great aging capacity.
4.30 PM: Chef Damien Garanger welcomes you for a private cooking class.
Chef Garanger trained in Michelin-starred restaurants in the Loire Valley “Domaine des Hauts de Loire”, and in Paris and Burgundy. After a few years traveling around the world (Saint Martin, Cyprus, Moscow), he is now back in his region of origin.
The Chef won the French Chef competition “Madarine Impériale” in 2000.
The wine list presents over 300 wines mainly from the Loire Valley.

Chambord was THE VERY FIRST Chateau of the Valley to be proclaimed by UNESCO as a world heritage. It was ordered in 1519 by King Francois the 1st to Leonardo Da Vinci and his architects. Drive to the Estate of Chambord, a national game reserve as large as the town of Paris. The chateau de Chambord (guided tour) is a unique monument by its architecture and proportions. Leonardo da Vinci probably took part in the conception of the project. With more than 400 rooms and its double spiral staircase, Chambord is a highlight of the Loire Valley.

Situated between the Loire region and Sologne, a stone's throw away from Chambord. The domain covers today 34 hectares of biodynamical cultured vineyards. A new way to look at life! The GENDRIER family has occupied the domain since 1846. In 1950, four hectares of vines were cultivated mostly being of the white Romorantin type. The Cour Cheverny wines exist today because of King Francois 1st. On his way back from Italy, Francois 1st stopped in Burgundy. He brought back 80 000 vines of Romorantin. Nowadays the Cour Cheverny is the only appellation in the world using Romorantin grape.

In the XVIIth century, Cheverny was the first chateau incarnating the classic style in the Loire Valley. Built by the governor of Blois city, this chateau is known by the richness of its interiors which has been kept untapped thanks to its owners – Hurault family. Cheverny presents a magnificent collection of furniture and master paintings from the Renaissance period.
